Linda's Story

In 2004 Linda became Principal Designer of Aviar Commercial Space Planning and Design in Tucson, AZ . The firm has since rapidly increased in size, market area and reputation. Aviar Design is an independent commercial design firm that specializes in government, corporate, healthcare and hospitality design.​
 

Linda graduated Cum Laude from Virginia Tech University, with a BS in Interior Design from the University’s CIDA accredited Interior Design Department.  Linda has worked as a commercial designer for more than thirty years with an emphasis on space planning, project management, and interior design finish selection for commercial facilities.  Linda’s previous experience includes positions with the Federal Government as an interior designer for Air Force Civil Engineering in Ohio and Florida, and with the Veterans Affairs in Tucson, Arizona. ​
 

During her career as a commercial designer, Linda has earned several awards for her design work.  Highlighting these awards is an Air Force Design Honor award for Crossings Restaurant, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, in Ohio. Linda was selected to be a juror for the Air Force 2008 Design Awards. In 2011, Aviar Design was honored with a Cornerstone Award for Professional Service of the Year.​
 

As a professional, Linda has passed the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) exam, is licensed in the State of Florida, and holds an Interior Design Certificate with the State of Maryland.  She is a professional member of International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).
